100 Days to Fat Loss – Day 23: Preoccupied…

…with filling up my Samsung Galaxy Tab with workout videos! So far I’ve got Jillian Michaels and Jessica Smith in there. I would love to get some P90x and GSP Rushfit in my video library, too.

I’m also having a grand time browsing the Android Market. The wealth of free apps is astounding! I’ve even installed a weight loss app to help keep me on track–it’s called Noom and it allows you to track your workouts and food intake. It also reminds you to do your workouts as scheduled. It will be interesting to see how this app figures in my fitness journey. Although I did notice that you can only input one kind of exercise in its “Planned Exercise” section?

Speaking of exercise, I’m still not working out. I’m in an exercise funk. Honestly I’m having a hard time motivating myself to get moving after the awful time I had last Thursday… my bad experience with my client really sucked the energy out of me, and it’s taking me quite a while to regroup. I’m giving myself until tomorrow to finally shake things off and get back in the groove. Otherwise, all my efforts would have been for nothing.

100 Days to Fat Loss – Day 22: Early Christmas Present

I spent last night at Russel and Leila‘s condo in One Oasis… I had an awful time with my client yesterday, so when I got back to Manila, I went straight to their place and bawled my eyes out the entire night. I’m not going to get into the details of what happened, but suffice it to say that I couldn’t stop crying for hours–my emotions were that agitated by the incident.

Needless to say, because of the stress I put my eyes under last night, I woke up pretty late this morning and with horrid bags under my eyes, too. Even my eyelids were extra-puffy, making my naturally small eyes look like slits. Gah. Luckily for me, the ice bag I put on my eyes–ice for eyes, anyone? Heh heh–helped a lot to reduce the swelling, so I was able to leave One Oasis looking considerably better than when I first woke up.

To cheer me up, Russ and Lei helped me get myself an early Christmas present–a Samsung Galaxy Tab! I’ve wanted to buy one of these for a long time, but I sat on the fence for so long because I had a lot of other things I wanted to buy… like my own surfboard, a new laptop maybe, a watch that I’ve drooled over for ages… the list goes on. But upon their advice, I realized that the item that would be most useful to me as of the moment would be a kick-ass tablet; and after seeing what their Galaxy Tabs could do for the past several months, I was sold.

So, to make the long story short, I went ahead and took the plunge–I am now the proud owner of a 7″ Samsung Galaxy Tab, and I couldn’t be any happier with my decision. I’ve been fiddling with it since we got it this afternoon and so far it works like a dream. Russ and Lei have also introduced me to the wonderful world of the Android Market, and I’m already overwhelmed with the number of apps that I want to install on my Tab. I definitely want something fitness-related, and I also want an interval timer of some sort, for when I can’t access the Tabata Online Timer due to internet connection problems. Although it would be awesome if the Tabata Timer had an app for Android devices.

So… no workout for me today. Still exhausted from the drama of yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
