100 Days to Fat Loss – Day 2: Dress Fitting and Major Pampering

In an ironic twist to my first-day enthusiasm yesteday, I skipped my WOD this morning. I woke up so late today that I barely had time to eat breakfast, take a bath and get dressed before heading to Alabang for my ten o’clock appointment with the Donaires at their hotel. Today all the bridesmaids for the wedding are going to have the final dress fitting, as well as have their nails done for the wedding tomorrow. I’ve already gone to the office of Cecilio Abad, who designed all the gowns of the female entourage, and had my dress fitted. It looked so gorgeous. I don’t want to put any spoilers here, but let me just say I felt like Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”. Cecilio is one talented designer.

Since I didn’t get to do my workout this morning, I’ve had to be extra careful about what I ate the whole day. They say that a lean body is achieved through 20% gym and 80% nutrition. I’ve already lost the 20% today, so I better make good on the remaining 80%.

I had very little control over what type of food would be available to me over the course of this day, so I just took small portions of the food that was served, savored my bites and resisted the urge to have second helpings. I may have slipped a little in my lunch intake–I had a very late lunch because of the appointment with the designer, so I admit that I struggled with my appetite once I finally had a chance to eat. It’s a good thing that I managed to squeeze in a decent breakfast before I left the house this morning, otherwise my diet today would have been shot.

I’m now here in the Donaires’ room at Vivere Suites, waiting for my nails to be done. Rachel arranged for this mani-pedi session because she wanted all her bridesmaids to wear the same nail design. Our nails are going to have the French tip using the Gelish Soak-Off Nail Polish provided by Rachel herself. All this is going to be capped off by some major pampering at The Spa later tonight. It’s going to be my first time to experience the services of this uber-posh wellness center, so I’m pretty excited about it. Can’t wait!
